I am new to CNC and would really appreciate if anyone guides me to an article on the web that explains in detail various components (and how they work) of CNC. I did try wikipedia, google and how stuff works but could not find anything convincing.
www.linuxcnc.org <<<<<< a site oriented to EMC a CNC pacakage for Linux. Don't let that stop you as they have some very good information there of a general nature. Or did have before thier web site rebuild.
The rtai web site. <<<<<<< Information on realtime programming.
www.opencores.org <<<<<<< If you really want to get down to brass tacks they have IP available for rolling your own chips!
www.opencollector.org <<<<< a database, amongst other things, of interesting non main stream software. Electrical engineering related but flexible.
One link I've seem to have lost was to a university in OHIO. Had interesting stuff related to realtime programming and servos.
At one time www.compumotor.com had some interesting stuff. In any event they have or had atleast well done manuals. That is probably the same thing as www.parkermotion.com.
