Hi,
Am not to sure if this is in the right location, but here goes. I require certain information to do with cnc/cam. I wonder if you kind people could help a learner. Or have links for the information i require.

Cheers i will update the questions when i get home. Thanks once again.
Here you go. I information for the following.
Tooling Verification
Datum & Location Checks
In-Process Measurement
Post-Process Inspection
Quantitative Data & Arrributes
Statistical Analysis
Technical & Management Information
Tactile Sensing
Non-Tactile Sensing
Data Transmission Features
Adaptive Control Methods As Applied To CAM
Any help would be a bonus.![]()
Any body.
So you need to know all about the methods and measuring equipment used in a production factory with an above average budget. I think you can come up with a lot of answers, using an internet facility called "Google".

Okay, keywords "Mitutoyo Measurlink" (original name) or "Mitutoyo Measurelink" (the misspelling) will give you an entry.

First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.
(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)
The measurement features you are asking about do not usually require CAM or CAD software. They are done using macros. You must have the proper equipment like probes or laser measuring devices. Macros control the motion of the machine and perform the calculations along with data I/O. Any of the companies like Renashaw or Marposs can help with the process. Much of what you require may be user specific, meaning you will have to do some programming and development yourself. If you have more specific questions please post.
