How do i polish aluminum?

I just got done sandblasting for about 30 mins with 80 glass bead and it looks much better. I will have to try the red devil lye on my gas pedal. Thanks for all the help everyone!

A final cheapskate method is to boil the aluminium with rhubarb leaves and water.

Don't do this in the wife's best aluminium saucepans, unless you didn't wash the dishes properly last time it was your turn.

The problem with glass is keeping it clean any dirt rust ect will discolor the al. some manufactures of rocker's shot peen 2024 and 7075 with stainles steal shot it's exp!!!
like $5.00 a pound and it would be a must to recycle You would proubley need to step up to a carbide nosel for the blaster but it will give an exlent finish Look at jessel.com or T&D rocker arms and you will see what I mean Vibe finishing mighnt please you also

Thanks for the additional tips guys. Regarding the vibrating method, what kind of material would i put into the vibrator and what kind of vibrator would be needed?

Plastic media works the best Iv found on aluminum there are diffrent shapes and sizes to use depending on the size of part and the desired finish I use a tube tub finisher Its made by topline they have a web site C&Mtopline .com I think. they also have media check McMaster car they have Media too Good luck Kevin
