Where can I find the cheapest small vise?

I'm 17, and quite frankly don't have a lot of cash. I am looking for the cheapest machinist vise, for a Micromill. I am looking for a 3" vise. I bought one from Harbor Freight:

and it really sucks. It lifts the part way up, and isn't parallel. I was looking at these designs:
    This one
    or this one

Which one will prevent the most lift? And where is the cheapest source of one of these?

    Thanks - Zack

Cool Trick to using sloppy vises !

As an old machinist, there is a trick to using sloppy vises, simply place a 1/4" rod between the movable jaw and the part, this makes the slop in the vise roll on the pin, making the part square to the stationary jaw!

Also, there is a special parallel made by L.S. Starrett, called a "Hold Down - No. 54 Series", it has specificallly ground angles on them, which will force the part down to the floor of the vice!

    Hope this helps

It's not what you take away, it's what you are left with that counts!

Same as the one at LMS but cheaper

Thats the one I have, 3" thats what you want and it will suit you well.

The vice is one thing you dont really want to skimp out on.

The reason to choose the other one is because of the clamping slots on the side. It makes for much easier setup.
