    Small rotary screw air compressor

    Hello,
I was looking to buy a 5hp Kaeser rotary screw compressor. Does anyone have feedback on this brand? Does anyone have a similar sized rotary compressor of another brand? If so, can what are your thoughts positive, or negative? How loud is it? Are replacement parts readily available?
    Thanks,
    Joel

Kaeser is as good as any others and better than some. Quiet? I do not know the particular model, but the ones I have seen in operation could be talked over while standing right next to them without actually yelling. (About 60 dB?) Here in Dallas, their service is almost always within 24 hours.

Agreed. The new ones are not very loud at all. Last time I checked you could get a kit for them at purchase that got them below 70DB.

And you don't get pulses going down your air lines like on a piston type air compressors. Those pulses make funny numbers jump around on air bearing Co-ordinate Measuring Machines.
