I know this might be pretty basic to most members here, but I've a project that involves cutting shapes on cylindrical steel sheets similar to the pic attached.
Anybody could help with the process used to create such shapes on such irregular forms of steel?
Assuming it is metal, the basic shape could be deep drawn, formed or welded construction - hard to tell from that picture. The cutouts can be done with a laser cutter, water jet, plasma or with a punch and die. Again, without having the part in hand it is pretty hard to tell.
