    1/4-20 Tap Tolerance

    Hello,
I'm making an aluminum leveling fixture plate that will stand on 1/4-20 threads. I was looking into tap tolerances to find a tap that will make nice tight threads but it seems to be a complicated system and I haven't found much info. Can someone give me a brief overview of tap tolerance or recommend a good tolerance for this application?
