    dxf to pic ?

    I can print a acad drawing then scan it to make a pic. what is a simpler way to do this?

    lol. my skill level is not there. I have autocad lt. still can't seem to get it to work. comes up as a .plt file

    I am not sure I understand what you are attempting to do. In Windows, with AutoCAD file open and visible, you can press the Print Screen key. Then open Paint and click edit - paste or press ctrl+V. Then save it in whatever graphic format you have available that suits your needs.

    I want to convert a .dxf to a .jpeg.

    nothing happens when I hit print screen

    After you "hit" Print Screen, what happened when you opened Windows Paint and pressed the ctrl and the V keys at the same time?

    oops. I was expecting something to pop up when i hit print screen. I saved it to my pics but it saved the whole acad screen. how can I just save the drawing it self?

    Now that you have it as a raster image, you can crop the image.

    In AutoCAD 14, you can use File - Export to save the drawing as WMF, EPS, BMP, or 3DS formats. I do not know if LT will do this.
