G112 polar coordinate live tool misalignment | | I am new to using live tools. I am programing a Eurotech machine which has a Fanuc OT control.
The part I am currently working on is basically a locating pin with a square head at one end. The square head needs to be located within .001 of the clyindrical pin diameter. My problem is that the live tooling holder is not running true enough when putting an indicator in the main spindle and indicating the live tooling spindle. I can get it indicated along the x-axis but it is out about .030" perpendicular to the x-axis.
I have been told to adjust the rotation of the turret to get this closer but my next problem would be that by doing that it will be throwing out some c-drill, drill pocket locations in the turret that are already running true to the main spindle.
My questions is the following: Is there a way in the programing to adjust for the error I am getting in the one direction. I know I can move around the X wear in the tool but that does not effect the perpendicular axis which I believe would be a Y-axis. My machine does not have a Y-axis.
Is there a G code or something that will fix this issue or do I need to try adjusting the live tooling holder itself.
Thanks in advance,
