Blunt point threads

I am looking for ideas on how to make a part with blunt point threads on both I.D and O.D. Do you finish the thread , and then remove the lead for the thread on the mill, or try to thread on the lathe after cutting the "blunt relief" on the mill

Also, you would only do this after cutting the thread because the whole point is to remove the sharp lead in.

I figured it out, it was a very delicate part (copper) so the key was to hold the part without deforming the thread. The parts turned out great, thanks for the reply.
