Cut aluminium with hardned steel?

Hi, I made a tool to cut a specific aluminium piece because there is nothing in market available for what I need, the tool will be hardened and the aluminium is soft, now I know that the tool will cut but will she last enough to do series of 400 pieces?

Thank you.

can you get more specific? hss is just hardened tool steel, so I suppose it should. back in the day, they even used hardened high carbon steel for cutting.

HSS is only different because of the alloy elements added to it. Each type of tool steel has different elements and amounts of them added when it is being made.
