insert for a 0.005 max inside radius

I need to cut a 0.005 max inside radius on a corner on a lathe. Can anyone recommend a tool/insert for doing this.

if its OD, you can use your parting tool, and grind the insert to your liking if you dont have one without a radius. if its ID, same process but with a ID grooving bar. just use that tool for radius cleanup only, whether it is the OD or ID.

cermet .004 rad insert ccmt then take a hone and file it slightly giving you a .002-.003 then interpolate a rad of .004.

if you plunge it 99% of the time you will get a ****ty part and be out of spec. Leaving an undercut.

even if you take that .004 rad insert and interpolate a .0045 it will be better than plunging.
