Hi everyone. Been reading these for a while now, so I thought I would finally post. I am getting a sleeve done and I wanted to make a plaque for the shop with their logo on it. Problem is I can't find any freeware that will convert my jpg to a dxf. If someone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. |

| I opened the jpeg into Inkscape and saved as an R13 DXF and when I attempt to open it in Mastercam 9 it shuts it down. I also cannot see it in Mastercam 10. Don't know if I did something wrong.. but seems straight forward. |

| INkscape's native .dxf export isn't very good. There are several others available that should work better. Try this one. Big Blue Saw - Big Blue Saw's DXF Export For Inkscape

| Thanks for the dxf. I am not much for drawing as you could probably tell. I at least have that dxf in mastercam now, but the line editing will take me a long long time..lol. Good start though. Is it possible to get me a cleaner copy of it? Also was hoping to get a bigger plaque out of it.. maybe around the 300mm long x 180mm wide? |

| If you have a pretty clean, high contrast image, HyCad works pretty well. And it's free. I use it a lot for converting jpg/png files to dxf for LazyCam to engrave or cut. Another free one is WinTopo, but I haven't used it much. |
