Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I designed a decorative brass plate for a spirit level I made. So im just inscribing letters about .0625 deep and I need to know a good v-carve bit. Im also doing a profile cut around the plate which is .125 thick so I need to know what kind of end mill im to use. Where is a good place online to buy these bits. Im running a shopbot cnc and i'm thinking a feed rate of 2 and 1800 rmp will suffice. New to metal work on the cnc so open to any suggestions please. Much Thanks, Tony Here are pictures of my project and the plate |

| I use single-flute engraving tools from Harvey Tool. They can be had in a few different sizes and work way better than anything else I tried. I have used them to engrave aluminum and 304 SS. MSC has Onsrud carbide engraving tools that look similar. http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT...T4NO=100606026 |
