    Hitachi Seiki HT20 lathe MOTOR LIGHT

    Hello,
    My Hitachi Seiki HT20 lathe was running automatic. When I came over to it, it was stopped and the motor light was on. It's the little red light next to the low lube and clutch. It didn't crash or power surge or anything, just stopped. I can't figure out how to get rid of the light, any ideas. Thanks, Frank

    Is this the spindle motor light ? or is it possibly the hydraulic motor pressure ?

    Check the spindle drive for any error led's and hyd oil level, filter etc;

    I think it means all motors are ok, including hydraulics if the light is off. So please check the drives for any status lights.

    Also, check lub. tank levels etc;

    Are there any errors on screen ?

    Just checked, there is hydrolic fluid but I dont think the hydrolic motor is kicking on, there is no pressure on the guage.

    not ready means an external condition is not made, hydraulic pressure, overtravel limit switch, or a spindle/ axis drive is not ok.

    Maybe a switch, fuse or overload has tripped. Check the small power supply fuses are ok (green 5A etc; with white tag showing)
