Have you looked into the tiny vice ? They have come in very handy for us.
CLAMPS AND ACCESSORIES, EDGE CLAMPS, TINY VISE
I currently use a small clamp by mitee bite called a machinable uniforce clamp. Initially I liked the idea of it clamping in opposing directions. This allowed us to clamp two pieces using one clamp. However this required us to clamp our parts opposite each other in opposite directions.
I am wanting to run all the pieces the same direction meaning I cant use the back half of these (uniforce)clamps. Anyone have any ideas on one sided clamps besides what mitee bite has, nothing against them i just have already looked at what they have. The clamp must have downward and horizontal clamping.
Thanks

Just push the button, what's the worst that could happen.
Those might work out pretty good. I ordered a couple different sizes to try them out.
Do you see any problems with recessing them slightly to keep them facing the right way?
We don't realy have that problem, there used on are hmc so they tend to hang in place. I guess you could recess them but then you would probably want your part recessed a little deeper then the tiny vice, they seem to work best when clamping the part as high as posable. There are some parts that we make that spacers are put under the clamps to rise them up so they hold a little better. On a side note, the only problem we have had is having to replace bolts becouse the hex it the bold became rounded.

I see, well be using a VMC and we'll have to recess our part slightly in the fixture anyway so sinking the clamp along with it wont be a problem.
Hopefully they'll work, they are definately priced right.
