I would like individuals to explain to me the importance of producing an accurate and detailed operational plan for a component which is to be manufactured on a CNC lathe and point out work holding, setting points, sequence of operations, calculations, cutting speeds and feeds, tooling requirement, gauging requirement and any effects on other departments in the company... Please helppppppppppp |

| The importance of it boils down to training and accountability. If, in a production environment, you hire a new employee, they need this information to reference while doing their job. If part(s) get rejected, the employee who ran them may be held accountable and disciplined IF an accurate and complete procedure is in place for the particular product in question. |
