I'm looking at engraving some small letters on a decorative piece of aluminum. The problem is that my X3 only gets up to about 2000 rpm. Can you engrave at this speed and get a nice finish? Is it just a matter of a super slow feed or is the only option to build an engraving attachment for my mill? Any recommendations are appreciated. Thanks |

| If you end up doing more engraving, you can make a bracket and attach a high-speed trim router that will run 25,000-30,000 RPM. It's a cheap way to get high speed. I recently upgraded to an Air Turbine Tool that runs steady at 25,000 RPM with good power. It runs very quietly. It does use a lot of air, though. |
