Not sure exactly where an introduction would go on this site as i'm still familiarizing myself. Should this belong in another forum feel free to move to the appropriate place.

So i'm gathering quotes for a part i need machined from various machinist in the Tampa bay area. Was wondering what you folks thought as far as pricing per part. General dimensions are 4.5 inch squared by 2.5 inch thick/tall. Need the part cut out of t6-6061. First run would be 2 or 3. No files handy as all i can provide is the part for measuring. The item is the olive drab colored part in the pics below.

Thoughts on a hobbyist being able to machine the part much cheaper than a small run machine shop? The part isn't complex, but need fairly tight tolerances.
