Hey I have to do an assignment on this material, but can't find any data on the following: Coefficient of thermal expansion Machinability index Specific Gravity Thermal Conductivity Electrical Resisivity Electrical Conductivity Specific Heat Flexural Strength Impact Strength Endurance STrength wow... well I filled out some stuff regarding harndess, yield and tensile strength which I found on one web site (MatWeb) but it looks like I am going to lose some marks on this presentation. I assume this steel has much in common with 1020 carbon steel? Not sure how to proceed on getting these answers I also know it is known as a Cor ten or HSLA structural steel, issued in type 2 and type 4, type 4 being a more corrosive inhibiting type (cor-ten if in sheet), Type 2 the basic structural alloy without extra protection from corrosion (HSLA) can someone say whether or not it was used in the construction of any famous buildings or bridges? was the golden gate bridge built out if it? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. ASTM A606 / A606M -09a Standard Specification for Steel, Sheet and Strip, High-Strength, Low-Alloy, Hot-Rolled and Cold-Rolled, with Improved Atmospheric Corrosion Resistance (type 2 and 4) |
