| I attended a seminar last year in Toledo for MasterChemical and learned a bunch about machining fluid use and handling. Extremely well done and useful two day seminar... my question to everyone in 'the Zone' : Do you recycle fluids? We use three different coolants and pay someone to take away used coolant/tramp oil 'wastes'. I learned at the seminar that with the right recycling equipment (100-200K) you can use, recycle by filtration and centrifuge, and by adding a small amount of fresh coolant concentrate, not only reuse a great product but reduce or eliminate the need to pay someone to handle the thousands of gallons of coolant/oil waste generated each year. I was told that a system like this would pay us back by coolant purchase savings within 2 years! Anyone have any experience with a system like this? Any other thoughts? |
