has anyone installed Graphite plugs before into aluminum bronze? we are doing it for a custom wear plate we will be using 1/2" dia plugs we are planning on just using a bit of loctite and press fitting in the plugs? is there any tricks to do it? thanks |

| I don't know if loctite would be a good idea. It might turn gooey when the bushing gets hot and muck things up. Maybe you could heat the bronze up a bit and shrink fit it to the graphite. The graphite does not need to be held very well because it will be captured once its installed. You just need it to stay in there long enough to put it together. Matt |
