I have not been able to find out this information.
What is the call out for a VW input spline on a type 1 and type 2 (091) transaxle? Or if you know what broach is used to create a female spline to fit the transmission please post that as well. I need to find a broach that will create female spline like what is on the clutch disk that mates to the male spline on the transmission.
Also if anyone has any CAD files on the transmission with call outs and dimensions please let me know.
I'm pretty sure the spline is a 24 splines, the clutch has been called a 13/16 in. but that is not enough information.
The shaft is about on digital calipers ~19.7mm or on a micrometer ~0.773" in diameter. I have found a few standards that it could be but I can not tell what the angle of the face is. The face appears to be straight and there is a fillet on the shaft.
One standard that comes close is the DIN5480 - 30(deg) There is a 19.8 - 0.8 x 24
m/n : 0.8 , 24
D / Db : 19.2 , 16.63
Dd / xm : 20 , -0.04
Do / Dre : 19.84 , 18.24
Di / Dri : 18.4 / 20
tv / sv : 1:21 , 1.21
p / cf : 2.51, 0.08
Anyone know of what standards were in place pre 1960?
