    Looking to purchase a arbor press, need some terminology cleared.

    My biggest concern the work area at the starting of the ram to the bottom plate. Now is this called the

    Capacity over table?
    Capacity over plate?
    MAXIMUM RAM TO TABLE ?
    throat? I guess this is the diameter around the rod to the back stand?

    Please clarify thanks

    Max ram is the vertical capacity

    Depends what the usage needs are, but have you looked at the Hydraulic models from Princess Auto, they have sales on these that are close to the price you pay for a manual version
