Helical Cutter Head

I have posted on other Forums but no response, I am tring to build a Helical Cutter Head for my Wood Planer. I have a dimensional Dwg. for the Head or shaft but cant seem to find any info on how the inserts are mounted, Pocket style or mounting details. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Not sure I fully understand what you're trying to do red, that or I'm just missing the point.

All inserts are dimensioned to ISO standard, so in my mind and thinking out your issue, you only need to know the insert dimensions to develop your pocket geometry, then nest the insert such that it achieves the cutting geometry you're after.

There are a couple of ways to secure an insert; set screw and/or clamp. Set screws are usually placed such that they 'seat' the insert by placing a bending moment on the body of the screw. Clamps either just "clamp" the screw and/or seat the insert as they're tightened to torque. There are lots of variations on this practice though.
