    Indexable Head ??

Looking to get an Indexable boring head and saw this one on Ebay. Looks like a good price. I have asked about shipping. Any experience or comments regarding this item? The seller has them up for sale all the time.

    The auction is

They are a great tool to have. Wouldn't do a hole without one.
If it's not nailed down, it's mine.
If I can pry it loose, it's not nailed down.

    What is the ebay number?
(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

His price seems high if you are in the US. I got mine for $80 shipped from someone advertising in HomeShopMachinist.

Looking around I see that heads for R8 spindles are $30 or so. However, I don't see any other MT2 heads.

never liked boring heads myself i found that a homemade bar with a tool sticking out and a dial indicator works the best in most situations. you lose a lot of rigidity as you limit the tool size to whatever dia hole the head has. great though for boring holes larger than the head itself as the cross hole gives you alot more rigidity
