Need Help!- How to attach carbide ?

Hi,

In the figure attached, you can see Part A & Part B.

I want to attach Part B (which is a carbide) to Part A (Steel).
I know that normally "BRAZING" is done to attach carbide, but it is not a failure proof.
I have many of pieces (attached by brazing process) do seprate after a period of time.

I was looking so any other attaching method (other than brazing) to attach carbide to steel which do not seprate for a very long period of time.

Can anyone suggest me a alternative & failure method of attaching carbide?:

Are you subjecting them to a lot of heat? What are the working conditions for this item?

Machine a pocket for the carbide to go into then braze them. You will have more contact area and the pocket will keep it from being jared loose over time.

Carbide should be brazed to steel using trimet.

Ok,

It will try to braze through some another material.


But, it is any other method to fix carbide with Steel.

Why would you machine a pocket in carbide? You make a pocket in the main part and braze the carbide into it

Also I think i should semi pierce a hole (as shown in figure) so that i can braze on the top as well as along the length of carbide & will ensure more rigid clamping.
