| You have a lot of choices. Find out what the tailstock taper is (probably #2 morse taper). Many chucks have a taper in them as well, these are usually Jacobs tapers (JT) of one flavour or another. So what you have to do is find the chuck you want, and get the right arbour to go from the MT to the JT. Clear as mud? An example from Little Machine Shop's catalog: A keyless chuck: http://littlemachineshop.com/product...660&category=7 This is a 33jt taper chuck so you want a 2MT standard to 33 mt arbour: http://littlemachineshop.com/product...2955&category= That was only an example of course, they have a much wider selection of chucks, some that come with the correct arbour. http://littlemachineshop.com/product...php?category=7 Note that they have some 2MT short arbours, those are for the 7x lathes so avoid those. Hope that points you in the right direction. bob |
