Where do you get your pocket rules?

I'm looking for a cheap deal on those 6" stainless pocket rules. I don't know if it's just me, but i seem to go through one of these guys a day... I don't even care if I have to buy a few gross, I just hate paying a couple dollars a piece for these things... I've found them as low as .99, but, it's still by the piece. Do any of you guys know where you can get ahold of a hundred or two for wholesale price?

How do go through so many? I have one that's nearly 10 years old......awfully beat-up, but nearly 10 ten years old.

I really don't know! I'm working between two shops, and one of them has quite a few guys in it, so I don't know if i'm misplacing them, or people are 'borrowing' them, but I do know that I bought 24 at Christmas, and now i have to hunt to fine one...

Huh. They can certainly disappear if you don't keep a close eye on them. I didn't know if there was a use for them I didn't know about assuming you were wearing them out.

I'd often have to fill out a "lost tool report" for mine to become visible again. Big deal when you work on aircraft, but that's the one I've had for 10 years. I guess tool accountability programs DO work.

99 cents sounds pretty good, but not for every day. Still cheaper than chew though!

Yeah, it's probably closer to a couple a week, and if i took a while, i could probably hunt down a few more, I guess i'm just the kind of guy who likes to have a bunch of his favorite things laying around so you never have to look... Also, we're not a very big company, and a bunch of the kids at the other shop are part-timers, so, there isn't even any such thing as a report to file. A local shop in town here, Funk Machine, has a cup with probably a hundred of them sitting on their front desk, so I was just assuming there was a wholesale outlet, and i just couldn't find it. For that matter, if i could find customized ones, i'd love to throw my name on them, write them off, and hand them out like cards or pens...

Ah well, well if anyone has any other information, i'd love to know!
