| Hi, I'm a complete newbie in CNC. I have a sable 250 machine (a small desktop machine).I work in electronics and I want to do only small jobs, like cutting a DB9 plug hole in a 1.5mm tick aluminium sheet. But I cannot do anything right. The machine cuts, but melts everything around. Even when I cut soft plastic it gets melted. I dont use any kind of coolant. I use a spindle at 20.000 rpm and a 2 flute 2mm cutter. Feed rate is only 100mm /minute and I use 0.25mm steps in Z axis. What I'm doing wrong? ![]() Thanks in advance for any help. |
