Hi guys... I am new here and hoping I can get a little advice. I am wanting to cut 6061 aluminum bar.. my sizes are listed below 3 1/2" x 1/4" 1 x 1/4" 1 x 3/8" most of thickness of the bar is 1/4" I am wanting to cut many pieces from 12' bars I have a new craftsman miter saw and tried with a 10" metal cut off blade that is used with a metal chop saw and I tried using it with cutting 1 x 3/8" and cut it fine but I had to go quite slow.. I need to make many pieces and hoping I can use the miter saw but what blade will work better with 1 x3/8" Thank you kindly.. Mike |

| A 'Triple Chip' carbide tooth blade, Freud makes them and it will be marked as suitable for non-ferrous metals. If you do a custom Google search here on CNCzone, the custom search box is at the top of the CNCzone page, using 'triple chip blade' you will find many thread discussing cutting aluminum with miter saws.
