Hi all this is my first time ,so i hope i am in the right part -- i am very new to this i have a 3 axis xi milling machine which at the moment is controlled by tubocad drawing program -- my question is -- please dont laugh, is it possible to scan a drawing then import it, to scale it in mm, then move the finished drawing .to the cnc cutter as a cutting file thanks for looking whizzo |

| There is no drawing attached. :x And as far as I know no CAD/CAM program can convert scanned images to drawing files. The closest I can think of is, the 2010 AutoCAD can underlay a .pdf file in the back ground, and pdf files can be made from scanned images. I do not know if TurboCAD has this feature or not, you'll have to check the Help. My guess is you will probably need to redraw your image in your CAD/CAM software, then create the tool paths for it. |

| Most of the vector drawing software (like Corel Draw) allow you to "trace" a scanned drawing, which turns the scanned bitmap into a vector drawing. Then you can scale it, and export at .DXF etc ready for CNC. |
