We have an Okuma Lathe and we switched the machine to run programs in Metric. When running a part (8" dia.), I set the max speed with G50S800... then G96S600... The part is spinning much faster and burning up tools, it's not recognizing the G96. It seems as though the machine is reading the speeds (RPM) in Metric. Is there some type of conversion table or some number I sould divide the 600 by? Any suggestions??? |
