hf 8x12 lead screw thread size

off question, but the threads on my tool slide are buggered up.
i am wondering if anyone knows what thread size this is? the lead screw itself looks okay, but the lead screw only goes in part way then binds up.
ideally i could chase the threads with a tap. if not, hopefully i will be able to replace the parts. any information would be appreciated.
