siemens sinumerik 810 t controlling system DAC limit error

Hi Fellows. I am new here and this is my first message. I have some problems with my taksan ttc 630 cnc machine. It has a siemens sinumerik 810 t controlling system. My problem is about this controlling system. I came arcross with the problem of DAC limit error. Its alarm code is 104. when this alarm happens the Z axis stops. after that alarm I cant make it work anymore. besides this alarm ORD Z clamping monitoring error happens sometimes with DAC limit error.

I am thinking this problem is caused by encoder. Please help me.

That error means the axis drive is tripping out on overcurrent.Either because the axis is mechanically tight or the drive is set up wrong.Does your machine have Siemens 6SC610 axis drives?
Mark.

Smile

The DAC limit error is due to a busted drive belt on the Z axis motor. It's a little effort to fix but only costs $29.99

no the Dac error is over current and usually due to the motor pulling to many amps because it is old and dirty. take the brushes out and clean them or replace them maybe turn the comm depending on how bad it is and you should be good to go for at least a little while.

INFO

If you solved the problem please inform how...
I m having the same problem in a 810t from Danobat.
But mechanically it is all ok because i can rotate the axxel by hand and everything is ok...
Is it possible that i may have a problem in electrolics of drive????
note this only occurs on the x... my z is ok!
Someone have an idea....

Is it a DAC alarm you are getting? DAC is always overcurrent, which means that the preset current limits are being exceeded.
Check that the current limits are set to match the motor and amplifier (stack) card.
I would expect the drive to be a 6SC610 ac drive with 1FT5 ac servo motors.

DAC Alarm

Yes it is DAC alarm. But please note themachine was in operation...Everything was fine and sundently i got the alarm....
Since then i already did to verify:
- 1st Saw if i had any mechanical prison on the x ... no problem rotates by hand.
-2nd changed encoderfromz to x to see if alarm changes to the other axxel.-alarm still on when i try to move it.
- 3rd changed potence plates betwen x and z to see if alarm changes to z...but still the same.

Im considering changing motor now to see if it is damage in motor...

Any idea more????

DAC alarm-solved

Tank you all, but i already have the machine working.
I was i think because of a bad contact in drive. i toke all the wires out and puted back in and the machine started to work...
