Please show off photos of your complex parts, I am trying to determine the capabilities of mills in the size of the Novakon MN-135 or equivalent cnc mills.

Complex millings can be done with any machine. The complexity is directly related to the CAM-software used and the skills of the CAM-technician/machinist, not the machine.
What you should look for is the speed available and how rigid the machine is.

I have a hard time believing that the NM-135 can do the same complexity and detail as the Roland MDX-40A, Although I cannot afford a Roland at this time and it is probably capable of higher detail than I want. It may seem common sense to you what the capabilities are, it is not obvious to me. I have basic milling experience. I would have thought that people would be interested in showing some neat projects.
