What coolant do you guys use for your CNC machine?

Its that time of the year to change coolant for me. I was wondering what kind of coolant brand/model you guys use on your machines and your comments/feedback it.

I am currently using Starbright... it has done it's job but my skin, eyes, and respiratory system get irritated from time to time due to the coolant.

I have had good luck with val cool, and poly cut coolant. We just get in 55 gal drums, and I mix it manually.

We recently switched to Aqua Kool 21EP-5 by G-C Lubricants Co. It mixes well and works great (even smells good). Very happy.

Greencut

I had been using Rustlick WS-5050, which cut well but it really tended to go rancid quickly.

I just switched to Greencut about a month ago and like it much better. So far it cuts better and shows no signs of going rancid. A little puddle of it sitting in the overflow tank would have been smelling by now if it were the WS-5050. No such problems with Greencut.

Cheers,

-Peter
