    KITAMURA MYCENTER1

    Hi Guys.
I have a 92 Mycenter 1 the spindle head rocks side to side and front to back. The Gibbs plastic membranes are worn I’m guessing. Does any know where they can be purchased?
    Thanks

Do you mean the Turcite that is epoxied on and fit to the gib? BTW mycenters on the early ones have an eccentric cam to adjust the gibs. Did you try that first?

Exactly the truncate that is epoxied on the Gibbs. There is also factory pre-defined torrance collars on the bolts that hold the Gibbs in place. I removed the collars one side that tightened things up a little bit. The machine now only over-under cuts by 0.005 was 0.010. I was careful not to over tighten.

Absolutely! Need to replace the plastic on the Gibbs, the bolts are as tight as they will get.
