I am a newbie for using CNC milling machine.
Don't know ask here correct or not~

I would like to ask about what kind of feed rate and spinlde speed do u use
for these materials, and do u use coolant for those materails?

1,Aluminum
2,ABS (plastic)
3, Arcylic (plastic)
4, Mild steel
5, Stainless steel

Any books or reference can I read?

Yanlo, lots of data available in various places.

You could try a Machinery's Handbook, which has all that data in tables.

If you look around the web, there are some online sites that do it. I'd search for SFM and RPM on Google.

You could use a machinist's calculator with a feeds and speeds function. There are a bunch of those available too. They look something like this:

In each case, there are multiple parameters that will determine your speeds (spindle rpm) and feeds (how many inches per minute you advance the tool). For example, you can see from the picture that the G-Wizard needs to know what kind of material you are cutting, what kind of tool or operation, tool diameter, how many flutes on the tool, and your depth of cut and width of cut (for an endmill). From that, it can make recommendations that you can then further refine.

Cheers,

BW
