Question Please Advise - Replacing ProCAD/CAM

    Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on the forum, thanks for reading.

I'm in a bit of a pickle, and I'm not an engineer or machinist, I'm an IT guy (boo hiss) trying to find the best course of action for our small company.

Currently we have ProCAD/CAM 2006, which we use for drawing simple 2D parts and cutting them out on either a Mitsubishi DWC90SB EDM or an MG Industries Silver Eagle plasma table. Everything works great, but supporting it when there's a problem is not fun so I've been looking into possible replacements. Cimtronics is willing to offer support for 1 year for 1300.00, but if there is better software out there that at least has a reasonable amount of support info online (ProCAD/CAM doesn't) for the same price or less I'd certainly like to know so I can weigh the options.

Anything that will post for a Mazak as well would be a bonus, but not necessary.

    Thanks for the help!
