    Ordered a Sieg X3 today

Well I have ordered a Sieg X3 Mill today, to replace my HF mill. The mini mill works good, but I need something bigger for the stuff I have planed for it. So the servo converted mill will be up on ebay next week. I have fixed the accuracy problem, I was having and will post pic in the other section.

This machine I plan on going stepper and plan on getting a conversion kit from Industrial Hobby , and gecko drives. So the HF mill will be sold with the servos. So I will have pics up as soon as I start this new project, by the end of this month.

If you have done a conversion please post some pics and your thoughts on the machine...
    Thank You,

I'm not sure, he has not finished engineering the kit, he will be done with in a few more weeks. But as far I know it's gonna be a bolt on kit and will use steppers via direct drive.

BTW I bought the last mill.... now you have to wait 2-3 month's.

I bought it from http://Lathemaster.com he is the only one that sells/imports them. he does not show the X3 on the site only the X4, Industrial hobbies has that one in stock.

Congrats. I bought one about a year ago from Lathemaster. It's great. And I'm looking forward to your documenting how you cnc it.

BTW, the big mill Bob sells is not a Sieg. It's from a completely different manufactuere. It is one BIG machine.

Any plans on cnc'ing his 8x14 lathe?
