    Wink New Controls

    Hello all.
Thanks again to you for helping me with my Bridgeport EZ trak.
    Been running great.
I have a question now on a totally different machine.
    I have a Sharnoa SD-850 3 axis CNC with Tiger 3 Controls.
It's a 1985 machine. Good iron, and still holds tolerances of +/-.001 over
the entire xyz. The only limitation is 6" Z travel, but heck I don't mind.
It also uses a paper tape to load the master program plus cam cycles, letter engraving, and Mold program. Sooner or later that reader is gonna fail.
I've been extremely lucky thus far.

So the question. What can you all recommend as far as replacing Tiger 3 controls? The drivers, rotary encoders, belts etc are in great working order.
PC based seems to be what I see here. (even though I have always used a Mac) So any suggestions? or what to avoid?

    Thanks in advance once again.

    What voltage are the motors?
Do you have analog input +-10v drives?

If the drive voltage is over 100v or so and the drives are good and analog input, try the DSPMC/ip from Vital systems.

I am using it on my mill and I am putting it on my lathe conversion as I type. I find it tough to type with wire strippers in my hand. LOL

See my build log for more info.

BTC-1 retro fit using DSPMC/IP controller.
