Deckel FP3A

Hi there i'm new to this. I'm a machinist of 9 years and lookin atsetting up my own little M/C shop from home here in Perth WA, I've just found a Deckel uni mill that i'm very keen on purchasing but the controller (cnc2102) will only work in manual mode which is fine for wat i want to do but i really would like to fix it. Does anyone out there have any experience with these mc's and could point me in the right direction. Cheers Sava

I believe thats the same machine we have at work. I will check if the controller is the same and if it is, I might be able to help. How much are you going to pay for it?

Does it give any error messages when starting up?

He's asking for $8000 aus. I'm not sure of the code when it starts up but instead of coming up with numbers when you set xyz zero it has letters? I will try and find out more info onthis m/c

When setting XYZ as zero, I believe you have to enter some G-Code first. Our machine has a preset button that brings up a couple G-Codes so that you can zero the axis.

i think i have the same problem. The Fpa works fine in manuel mode but in mode 9 there i can program. Do you know what the number 83 down at the right site of the display means?

We just dumped several Deckels. people got them for about 1K each. Rip that POS control off and put a mach 3 on it.
