    Lathe or Mill Casting

I'm trying to develop a basic CNC lathe or mill. Any body know where I can buy lathe or mill castings? The best option would be a complete casting, I just want to put the linear guides, ball screws, electronic, CNC, etc, over this casting.
I need only one at first moment but I don’t know in the future.
    Thanks for your help.

Make molds using lost foam technique & go to a foundry to have them filled with iron.
It will be the nearest thing to your size/weight needs. they will require a bit of finishing & drilling the surface were you'll put your rails...at the end it might be cheaper or better than a ready made casting...if you want a full size lathe or mill don't go that way but if you want a hobby sized machine the size of an X3 or so, you should go that way.

Here's a vid of a diy cnc lathe on yotube, the frame was welded but you can make a cast version of it.

Anyone correct me if i'm wrong.

    Thanks !
