Question Hardinge Lathe

Hardinge lathe s/n 59-21122-1.
I can find very little info about this lathe. The lathe looks similar to a Dv-59, except the bed on mine isn't dovetailed. Does anyone have any info on this lathe, is it worth restoring?
Thanks for any info.

I suspect that it would always make an excellent spindle for holding work while you grind it. I suspect that it's a 2nd op type of lathe (hate to use that since it only looks like a lathe....isn't that so?)

...as is this one. I forgot to add.

Recently I've gotten to see what a poorly run forum looks like (no names please), it ain't pretty. That kind of experience makes the good ones stand out even more.

Thanks for the replies guys. Thanks for the excellent forums too. I wouldnt be half as dangerous as i am now if i didnt have this site to read. Anywho.... In case anyone was interested, The lathe is a '43-'44 model split bed lathe. I got all the needed tools with it (tail stock and compound cross slide) to start off with. I plan on restoring it back to its previous glory and using it to make "stuff". I hope to make lots of precision "stuff" with it.

Thanks again
