Hs 630

Hello Hitachi Man,

My company currently employs a HS630 Horizontal Machining Cell, for which we have no user manual (an external repair company took it with them after a job!).

I have been asked to look into the operating pressures of our machines and review these to see if we are over-pressurising unnecessarily.

I would therefore be most grateful if you could provide me with any information that you deem to be relevant.

Kind Regards,

(CNC KPM)

Hitachi Seiki Minimatic Service and Support !!

I am trying to locate "Josh" AKA Hitachi_man from this Nov 2004 post.... or anyone else with equivalent experience that may be able to provide phone support specifically for a Hitachi Seiki MN 500, Horizontal Machining Center "Minimatic" with Fanuc 6M control.

We are having trouble with the tool changer. We're located in Columbus, OH and we're also interested in developing a relationship with an experienced Hitachi Seiki repair-person who would be able to travel to our location.

Please contact us via phone or email (We do not check this forum regularly)

Hi. :-)

We have a hitachi seiki ts15 made in year 1998, with cnc seikos sigma 21L (fanuc cnc? not sure).

I only have service manual though
Do you have any manuals for it? I'm interested in programing manual, worker's manual, etc... any manuals that can help me use the machine.

Nick

For service in Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin try http://www.statemachinetool.com/ in Waukesha, WI.
Their rates are:
Labor = $125/hr - 1 hour min.
Travel = $55/hr + $0.49/mile

There is also http://www.ellisontechnologies.com/il/home.aspx
Their rates are:
Labor = $125/hr
Travel = $125/hr
If your Hitachi-Seiki was made in Huntsville, AL you won't be able to go to these guys. Ellison is part of Mori Seiki...who bought the Japanese portion of Hitachi-Seiki. Mori couldn't get the US Hitachi-Seiki line and therfore they won't support your machine if it was made in the US. If your serial number on your machine has letters at the end, it was made in the US and not in Japan.

We ended up paying for 1/2 a service call. When the tech got here and saw the serial number with letters at the end (HT23J7909HL), he called his super at Mori and was told he could not support our machine. We still had to pay for his travel time to get here and back. He tried a few steps to get it fixed but they didn't work.

They guys at State Machine faxed me a procedure and I had it fixed in a matter of minutes. We are still having State Machine come out and do an alignment and reset the Q-setter. This machine hasn't been re-aligned in years. I know it is out because the drills don't drill on-center anymore, I have to offset the X-Axis up about 0.040" in the tool offset page.
