What are you guys doing with your used aluminum? I have a lot

I have been machining a lot lately and have about 100 lbs of used up aluminum pieces, bad cuts, swarf, etc. It is piling up. Don't know where to take it other than local aluminum recycler at .40 cents a pound.

Any other ideas? Anyone heating it up and reforming? Is .40 a good price?

Don't waste your time...get it out of your way and recycle it. You'll find the price goes all over the place, and it depends on whether you are sending chips or clean solid pieces.

Right now, we're buying aluminum for cheap, so recycling isn't going to fetch much money either.
