Problem- Toshiba Vmc-8 (shibura)

Hi

we have an old (1980's) Toshiba Vmc-8 with a tosnuc 600M pendant-control

We also use a HAAS HRT 310-B CNC indexing head on this machine the indexing head is operated manually using the M90 command in the tosnuc control to indicate to the operator when to change the angle of the indexing head.

Is it possible to automate the operation of the indexing head with the Toshiba Vmc-8?

It would save use a fair bit of time if it was possible.

Hello

Must be a tough one as nobody even nibbled.
So far we have comited to building an indexing
table with the long axis co-linear and parallel to
the X-axis of the machine.The table will be driven by
the HAAS indexing head. This will give us what I like to
think of as a 3 1/2 axis machine I'm hoping some enterprising soul has already tried something like this
before. Any help or even hints would be appreciated.

If you have a vmc8 it shouldn't have a T600 cnc. It's probably T520. I used to service these old machines. Setting it up for a true 4rth axis probably isn't possible at this stage of it's life. The factory will not help either.
On the otherhand, if it has a T600 CONTROL it is not that hard to achieve.
Problem is that the parts are fairly expensive.
