First drill press (have tons of questions)

So I just purchased an old drill press.

It has seen better days and is not exactly what the seller advertised, so I feel like a fool.

The table isn't even perpendicular to the spindle, and there is no way to adjust it.

The PO basically took a heavy duty tabletop drill press, fudged together a 'table' and put a big tube in it to make it a stand-up drill press.

I feel like a fool because I should have looked this over with a fine tooth comb, but my tendency to 'trust' people blurred my vision until I got home and actually saw the condition of the drill press.

It has good bones (base, spindle, motor), but I am going to end up reversing all of the 'junk' that the PO put on it just so it will make nice true holes.

Now I have a few questions:

1) Where can I find pulleys for drill presses? The PO fudged a 3 slot pulley where a 5 slot used to be and it doesn't work right.

2) Where can I find a new drill press table? The one on there now is not original and is a welded together piece of junk.

3) Where can I find electric motor parts (switches, etc.)

Please advise on good locations for me to do some research.

I'll make a good drill press out of this one yet!

To make myself feel better, I am looking at this as a 'rescue' operation. Bringing an old drill press back to life.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

I think I have an old set of pulleys from a drill press that I broke the spindle in a while back. What size bore do you need, I'll check to see if mine will work for you. I had the stand and table around here for years but sold it on ebay about 6 months ago. You can find the motor switches at Grainger or McMmastercarr.
