    CNC lock-outs

I've know that a lot of CNC machines have a key to lock out the operator from editing the program in the machine. I've never had the experience of these ever being locked before.

So i was wondering if anyone out there has dealt with this, and if they had any interesting experiences with it?

Owners, do you have/had any machines that you locked out?

Generally you only see the one keyswitch on the front panel, but most controls have at least three lock-out options that are implemented at the discretion of the MTB.
These are 1/Tool Comp Variables, 2/ Macro Var. & absolute coord, 3/ Memory edit.
    Usually you only see #3.
